Somewhere between the 3rd or 4th course, Jay asked Lexi to marry him over dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Hanauer was in on the secret for months leading up to the big moment.

After the engagement dinner in Paris, we headed to Belgium to get Hanauer a waffle. While there Lexi was a concerned the engagement ring would fall off so she used Fireball candy wrappers to keep it from falling off until we could find a jeweler to resize the ring. After some asking around, we found an Armenian jeweler in Brussels, Belgium who was willing to open his store for us on a Sunday. Maybe a hour later….boom! Lexi no longer needed candy wrappers to keep her ring on her finger.
